Primary Rhinoplasty
Sometimes referred to as a "nose job" by patients, it seeks the correction of nose defects, since the nose highlights the facial beauty. From an aesthetic point of view, the nose is the cornerstone of facial harmony. Each and every nose must be designed according to the patient's specific anatomy. It is important to assess the nose from a functional and aesthetic point of view in order to obtain better results. It is approached internally, with no visible scars in most cases. When it requires the correction of previous procedures, or in more complex cases, the approach is open surgery. This procedure is performed using general anesthesia and consists in sculpting and reshaping both the bones and cartilage that comprise the nose. In many cases, grafting from the same patient can be used. This is one of those procedures that requires a plastic surgeon with a vast experience, since I consider it one of the hardest to perform.
